I'm SO excited to announce that one of my latest pastel paintings has found a new home with Mike Perigo, whose wife Julie is also a Stutz artist. Mike and Julie were at the opening reception for "Voices, Women of a Certain Age", where Julie also has art exhibited. Shades State Park is a favorite spot of theirs, and Mike said he just had to have this. Lucky for me!

And I'm 1/2 of the proud new owners! (I'm Mike.) We hung the painting in our bedroom and I enjoy it every night as I doze off. I grew up in Lafayette and our folks enjoyed taking us to Shades. It's still one of my favorite places and I thought Karen's painting perfectly captured my impression of the place. I am so pleased to have this painting, and thank you, Karen! (And by the by, if you've never been to Shades, go!)
